Westchester County, New York
Westchester has 372,883 households, the most of our five counties (ACS 2020-2024 5-year, county row). City and town pages: Yonkers, White Plains, New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, Scarsdale, Harrison, Greenburgh and Ossining. The county’s other towns and cities, from Cortlandt and Yorktown to Rye and Pelham, are on the Westchester County page.
Putnam County, New York
Putnam has 35,545 households (ACS 2020-2024 5-year, county row) in six towns: Carmel, Kent, Patterson, Philipstown, Putnam Valley and Southeast. Carmel, which includes Mahopac, has a page of its own, and all six are covered on the Putnam County page.
Dutchess County, New York
Dutchess has 116,275 households (ACS 2020-2024 5-year, county row) in twenty towns and two cities, Beacon and Poughkeepsie. City and town pages: Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Wappinger and Rhinebeck. Every other town is on the Dutchess County page.
Connecticut: Fairfield and New Haven counties
Our Connecticut service covers Fairfield County and New Haven County. The Census Bureau stopped publishing Connecticut county figures in 2022, so the household counts below add up the Census rows for each county’s towns.
Fairfield County, Connecticut
359,732 households, the sum of 23 town rows (ACS 2020-2024 5-year). City and town pages: Stamford, Bridgeport, Norwalk, Danbury, Greenwich, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Shelton, Westport and New Canaan, Darien. The other towns are on the Fairfield County page.
New Haven County, Connecticut

Do you serve my town?
If your home is in Westchester, Putnam or Dutchess County in New York, or in Fairfield or New Haven County in Connecticut, yes. To check: find your county on this page and open its county page, which lists every town in it. If you are not sure which county you are in, put your town or ZIP code in the quote form and we will confirm when we reply.
Do you cross the New York and Connecticut line?
Yes. Our area runs along both sides of it. Greenwich borders Rye and North Castle in Westchester, Danbury borders Southeast in Putnam County, and Sherman borders Pawling and Dover in Dutchess County (Census TIGER/Line 2024 town boundaries). The sales tax on your quote follows where your home is: 6.35% on the Connecticut side, the county or city rate on the New York side.
Do you clean outside these five counties?
Our service area is these five counties, so we do not list New York City or the other Connecticut counties. If your home sits just over a county line, send the quote form anyway with your town or ZIP code, and our reply will tell you whether we can come.
Is the sales tax the same everywhere you clean?
No. Under New York State Publication 718, effective March 1, 2025, the rate on house cleaning is 8.375% in Westchester (8.875% in Yonkers) and Putnam, and 8.125% in Dutchess. Connecticut charges 6.35% statewide. New York does not tax carpet and upholstery cleaning; Connecticut does. Your quote shows the tax as its own line. See pricing.
